As good and varied as the last album. Some catchy tunes and definitely worth buying.

Normal people don't like Mika's music. I think that's a fact. If you ask people around you, they'd probably laugh and call you crazy.

Okay - I'm crazy. Mika's first album (Life in Cartoon Motion) was a breath of fresh air. I knew I wasn't meant to like it but I did. It wasn't great at first but it really grew on me to the point where I knew I loved it. My kids loved it too (which okay, may not help my case).

This second album is structured in much the same way; start with a couple of fast, loud pop tunes then slow it down a lot with a few slow ballads and then pick it up at the end again. I liked it on my first listen, and I think it will grow on me in the same way the first one did. The lyrics are great - especially I think in Toy Boy near the end of the album.

I know I'm crazy. I know Mika is always going to be classed as a "guilty pleasure" - I don't care. I like this album and I'm not afraid to whisper that fact quietly to someone I trust won't get me sanctioned or plaster it all over the internet.
