So many people seem to have missed the beauty of this album. Carly's voice may not be as strong as it was. I doubt she would claim it to be. But these lo-fi readings add a real edge to the songs. It Happens Everyday sounds far better than the original. New song, Songbird is beautiful and is worth the price alone. There is a real beauty to these recordings. Most people seem to expect a Greatest Hits. There are many available. This on the other hand has an entirely different place, and a great one if you care to really listen. Very pleasantly surprised.

I'm going to have to consign this album to the bin, I just can't listen to it without cringing. About 8 bars into the first track and she's singing out of tune and flat. Sorry, but it's rubbish in my opinion.

Very disappointing, her voice seems to have lost its power and some melody as the years have gone by, her new version of Your So Vain i'm afraid paled in comparison to the original.

some voices do improve with age, its true, unfortunately Carly's hasnt.
this is such a sad effort that I can only believe it to be a vanity recording; the songs should have been left to our memories of the glorious originals and this, if nothing else, is a sad reminder that there are singers who just dont know when to stop.
this has made me sadder than i ever thought possible and in many ways has damaged my appreciation of the originals
