Miss Katherine Jenkins is without doubt the most impressive British - no Welsh - entertainer and songstress.
She has the voice of an angel that was forged in the most beautiful country in the world.
Thank you for a wonderful performance!

This album combines hymns and aria with tunes I was unfamiliar with until I listened to this album. My favourites are 'The Lord is My Shepherd', a passionate version of 'Habanera' (of course, taken from Bizet's Carmen) and 'Guide Thee O Thou Great Redeemer', a favourite among the Welsh Rugby Union fans. The pictures of Katherine contained within this book are lovely. However, I was unsure about the whole 'girl next door' look for Katherine; although Katherine is a photogenic lady who suits whatever look she uses and any style of photograph, I think the glamorous opera star/diva look which she was to later develop suits her best. Then again, maybe the reason for the 'safe' choice of image and photography is because this was Katherine's debut album & so, at the time of the album's release, her management team & stylists were still undecided as to what image she should go for. Overall, an impressive debut and a beautiful lady with a voice to match!

To hear her voice from the early beginnings and be able to hear the now mature voice is something I would recomed as essential listenine for any one who is keen to follow her progress. A real must in my opinion. Thanks Amazon for your your help

She has a voice that is special and having a good collection of her CDs, anyone looking to start a fantastic musical journey with Katherine can start at no better place than this CD. Don't go thinking this is another young girl singing opera, this music has originality, depth and real beauty - it takes you to another place so it is great for listening to while travelling - you listen to this and honestly say, "thanks Katherine that was fantastic".

A very good CD which provides an opportunity for KJ to use the full range of her voice. I was not disappointed with the content but I have heard more powerful options. You either enjoy her voice, or you don't; the content of the songs and anthems was very nicely balanced. To my knowledge, no tracks have been duplicated with other CD's which is often found with other performers. Overall, a very enjoyable disc.
