Item received well packaged and in good time. Not quite as good condition as i would have liked but fair for the money. Would use this seller again.

Going back to my school days this was something we learnt and performed for the parents open day around 1970. Then, I saw the West End production with Paul Jones (ex Manfred Man) and finally this production with JD.
This was Jason Donovan at this best and probably most popular time although he was excellent in Chitty, Chitty as well.
This recording is top drawer and when you think the show is still playing to packed houses today then it is just as good as back in 1991.
The CD is the best option for sound quality but if you are offered the cassette buy it as it is a great buy.

I bought this shortly after the programme on TV was on, Could you be Joseph? I was not disappointed, great for upbeat listening in the car, it's one of those CDs you forget you've got, and then find it, and play over and over!

I bought this CD after seeing the show. The CD is fab with great performances all round. I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 as Jason Donovan's vocals as Joseph are often very soft and can't be heard clearly over the music, and the "s"'s seem a bit over done, a tad tad slurry. This may not be a reflection of his performance; it may be a production issue with the CD. Either way, it makes his performance seem a bit dumbed-down compared to the others.
The variation in stlye between tracks, and the the fun element which oozes out of each lyric like drool from a laughing nutter help to make this a musical which can be enjoyed by people of all ages. My two year old daughter loves this on in the car, and I look forward to taking her to watch it when she's older.
I won't go through all the tracks here as other reviewers have done that brilliantly before me. All I'll say is that however good you think this CD is - watching it live as ten times better! And this is a great CD - so put your tightest socks on, 'cos when you see this live it'll blow 'em off!
