i have been a fan of lostprophets since 'shiobi vs dragonninja', and its always bugged me it takes about 3 years between albums, but, i cant complain since the last 3 were good. i even liked there sellout album libereation transmittion

and then this is where the problem starts

for one i am a huge metal fan, and i also know that lostprophets started out playin machine head, metallica covers "like most bands". then i heard they were relesing a cover of davidian by machine head, so i go exited

the cover was crap, what they also said is there new album will be totally metal, like the machine head cover

so eventually, 2 years later, this comes out, and, it sounds nothing like machine head. i dont like false claims, if this is supposed to be a metal album, they can hang there heads in shame

before you all shout, this isnt the reason i dont like it, even though i didnt like the false claim

it is a very avarage song, the chourus is just so, genericaly pop. most pop singers could get away with it. and most of the rest of the song sounds as though it has been done before, and it isnt subtle.
i do have an open mind, with my ipod consisting of lamb of god, slayer and metallica all the way to the veronicas, avril lavigne and sum41, but this is such a let down of what lostprophets are capable of. if it wasnt there 4th album i would be more impressed, but i can see they are only going to get worse from here.

ill stick to the first 3 albums thanks

I've been waiting for years for a single from the upcoming album "The Betrayed" and I wasn't disappointed - Lostprophets have combined the old sounds of Fake Sound of Progress and Start Something with the catchiness of their bigger songs such as Last Train Home and Rooftops - the song has a dark, haunting element to it, and Ian Watkins' vocals are simply spectacular - one listen of this track and you'll be singing it all day! Definitely worth the buy, and if this single, as well as the other track that is featured is anything to go by, "The Betrayed" is going to be a truly epic album!
