After seeing Metallica live on their world magnetic tour, i jumped at the news that they were releasing a blu ray featuring the new songs and I wasn't disappointed, Metallica puts on a fantastic show with excellent picture quality, the talk of audio delay by a little i have not noticed it, if i do have that problem it doesnt effect it at all. A definate must buy.

impresionante BD en imagen y sonido. Lo más parecido a ver un concierto del Magnetic Tour si es que no has tenido la suerte de poder verlo.

This blu-ray is a must have for 'Tallica fans. Absolutely brilliant video quality. You can even see the details of the James' eye balls. And as a performance, it is very good, too... Superb setlist mix of old skool and new songs. Altough bonus features are shallow, I recommend this media for all Metallica lovers...

I got this direct from Universal, and there are definately sync issues.I'm a member of METPAGE and lots of members have reported the same, with many different standalone players. My player is Panasonic BD35.
Awesome gig from the worlds greatest rock band, but let down by the sync issues.Dunno if it is a faulty batch or not,and i have over 50 blu ray movies, and NONE have sync issues,so i know it's not my player.

I have to agree with other reviews here on several points. This is a great disc for sound quality, and picture quality, as you'd expect from a blu ray production. I will be using the disc as a reference for sound and picture quality, as it's fantastic in both respects. There's something on here for all Metallica fans, whether that be their older songs, or newer songs from Death Magnetic.
This dvd however, is ultimately let down by the sound being out of sync with the picture. It is marginal, but pretty obvious when watching Lars on the drums. Sometimes his feet don't appear to be moving when you can hear the bass drum in the audio track. Somebody else mentioned the fact the tracked camera on the front of the stage vibrates when passing across the stage, but for me that actually adds to the 'effect' of being at the concert. Whether the vibration is intentional or not though, is another question. I personally like the effect it adds.
But overall, if it wasn't for the lip sync issue, I'd have given it 5 stars!
