i remember buying this version then going round to my friends 6 months or so later and wondering what the bastardised versions of the songs i loved were! If it ain't broke don't fix it!

Yes many of us have been roped in by the band lostprophets in this last year but not many people have heard their debut album Fake Sound Of Progress. The lp of 'Fake Sound' followed along quite soon after the CD became a hit among the alternative and underground scene. You may well have bought their new album 'Start Something' which is similar. If you have enjoyed their latest album im sure you will turn to like 'Fake Sound' just as much. With its raw edge sound in 'Shinobi VS Dragon Ninja' which is continued in 'Kobrakai' but made heavier and more punky summer tune 'For Sure', all their varied componants which made them so popular in the first place along with its simiple cover and clear LP, it makes this defenitly worth the money and a great collectors item for both fans and general collectors!

Lostprophets are truely the best thing to have ever come out of the UK... This 6 piece band from Wales have been touring the country playing to as many crowds as possible, their fan base has grown rapidly and they are known as the hottest thing in the UK. Recently signed with Sony these guys know how to rock. With songs such as Kobrakai and shinobiVSdragonninja bring about 2 of the best intros your likely to hear along with being amazing songs. There's not a single bad track on the album, and with songs like ...andshetoldmetoleave and Stilllaughing bring about a mellower side to the album and still being able to be truely brilliant. Whatever price you buy this album for it's truely a steal! There's big things ahead for these guys and if your not gonna get the CD it's your loss... I'll be fronting these guys whatever they do!

The Fake Sound Of Progress is not pop metal like Limp Bizkit or Linken Park but neither is it too heavy like Slipnot - its for metal people who like good tunes. The Problem is in these modern times loadsa metal bands all sound alike and thats where the Lost Prophets step in cos their music is unique as they have some really wicked tracks like Ode To Summer, Five Is A Four Letter Word and the excellent Shinobi Vs Dragon Ninja. The Lost Prophets sound American but i think they're from Wales? Anyway nevermind that they won Best British Newcomers at the 2001 Keraang Awards + well deserved.

Okay, where to start? This album is probably the best debut ever! This album has everything - intelligence, moshability, emotion, even the kitchen sink. If you think bands like Linkin Park mix it up check these guys out, some songs on the album even have breakbeats and jazz passages. To be honest, everyone should own this album merely because of the range of emotion on display. I guarentee you will be able to relate to at least one track.
