Received my LP of Conditions...running time is about 21 minutes per side so goes okay on vinyl given track 5 isn't a heavy song.
There's no loss of silibance towards the end of the record.

This is a nice clean pressing and compared to the CD the dynamics are not challenged as much, which leads me to believe the vinyl was probably pressed from a 24-bit master or they just didn't use dynamic range compression as freely as they did on the CD which is a big relief. The CD is highly compressed and suffers from brickwalling throughout, even though it's still decent compared to some CD's out there.

This is the copy you want if you have both a record player and a CD player. Listening to Sweet Disposition, Love Lost, Fader, Fools, any of the outstanding tracks on here is much more pleasant on the vinyl copy...sounds more like a live performance.

I only heard of The Temper Trap back in January on the radio and I rarely ever listen to the radio, so I'm relieved they came on in one of these rare radio-listening moments. Sweet Disposition was the track. When I got home I went to Toronto's "CFNY 102.1" website where you can see the playlist and tracked down the name of the artists, then got the CD. After one or two listens through I knew I loved the sound and at least half the songs, so I ordered the vinyl.

Temper Trap have lots of influences it seems. I think if you like a lot of these artists you will enjoy this album - Catherine Wheel, Chapterhouse, James, Ride, The Verve, early u2, Coldplay, - you get the picture. Walls of guitar, great melodies in the lyrics, really nice instrumentation - the flow of the album is great too and while I'm not all that keen on the outro track I think every other song is worth listening too.

The Temper Trap are hitting Toronto in late March - I look forward to it. I think these guys will get big so I'm seizing the opportunity to see them for $15 in a small club before they hit the big arenas and tickets are fed to the reselling (scalping) market like StubHub and TicketsNow by Ticketmaster and Live Nation in advance of public on-sale. A practise that has been ongoing for years.
