You might think that Green Day's genre has changed over the years from punk to pop rock? but i beg to differ, this is most definetely still punk! Or at least its Green Day re-creating punk once again. It's loud, ambitious, angry and at times melodic. It comes with a wide range of well- aranged songs. This album goes from some killer tracks such as "Christians Inferno" and "Horseshoes and Handgrenades" to theatricall and melodic ballads such as "Last Night On Earth" and "Restless Heart Syndrom". The album is presented in 3 acts : Heroes and Cons, Charlatans and Saints and Horseshoes and Handgrendaes. The songs fit perfectly into the acts they are included into. In regard to the previous album "American Idiot" selling 14 million copies worldwide, this album takes American Idiot onto a whole new level, with bigger tracks and composition of Billie Joe Armstrongs effective lyrics. Although I still find that fans will remain loyal to old school Green Day material, or this album will open doors to new fans, It's hard to imagine Green Day in tight jeans and eye-liner when half your life you have idolised them as the irresponsible punks from the east - bay area in California. Although, i still believe that the latest two albums have shown us that Green Day can be fun and rebelious but also be thrilling and melodic.

I would recomend this album to any fan of Green Day, no matter what they strike to achieve if it's a concept album or just a good record

We were the waiting, and then it came! Green Day made a totaly brilliant album yet again. You can hear their dedication to music in their lyrics and songs. They strive to change the world and I think that this album is capable of that. It must have been hard to have to make another album that could rival 'American Idiot' but I think they deffinatly achieved that. This album is well worth getting!

Dookie, when it came out reminded me of early Who, which was a local group, when I was a teenager. This album could be Green Day's "Tommy", which I'd love to hear them cover.

Another excellent album from Green Day. It's along the same lines of American idiot but not quite as good. That dosen't make it a bad album, with ¡Viva la Gloria! ,Know your Enemy and the amazing 21 Guns it can't go bad. A very good and enjoyable album.
