I've had this case now for a couple of months and thank goodness I did! I live on a small island and travel around on unmetaled roads by bicycle and tractor. I've dropped my phone loads of times, but you wouldn't know it! One time was off the back of a Fire Engine... The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is the belt clip. The case clips in to the belt clip easily and is easy to remove when needed; a little too easy. If my dog jumps up at me and catches the top of the phone, out it pops. If you brush the top of the phone with your elbow, out it pops. With the simple addition of a top clasp this would have been a sensational product. Don't let this put you off buying this as the case is a must for those who lead a more rugged life with their iPhones, just be wary of the belt clip...

Love it. It makes the handset very chunky and destroys that lovely smooth feel of the naked iphone, but I really need it to be about as indestructable as possible. The plastic holder clips on belt or tab very easily and converts to a stand, (don't ask me why).
Upsides. 1. My iphone is almost indestructable. I will be buying more for my children's phones.
Downsides are 1. Chunkiness 2. Screen protecter has air bubbles underneath which I can't clear completely.

An excellent case for the iPhone 3GS! Very well designed and engineered - unlike others I have tried. I bought this to protect my iphone when cycling and hiking and being used as a map/GPS. It has already (unintentionally) paid for itself in a recent cycling mishap.....The phone hit the deck at around 50kmh in the back pocket of my cycling jersey....some scuffing, BUT, no damage to the phone at least. Can't say the same for my jersey, elbows and shins!
So, a big thumbs up from me. Does exactly what it says on the tin. This case would be an even better buy if there were some way to "clip" the phone in the OtterBox case, or even the whole of the supplied belt holder, into/onto a suitable dashboard mount in the car (at extra cost). Right now I have to take the phone out of the OtterBox to do this. A bit of a pain,especially with cold wet hands.
A quick tip for those annoyed by the "bubbles" that can appear between the screen of the phone and the excellent screen of the case - shake up a tin of talcum powder and open the lid - a very fine dust cloud will typically emerge - much much finer than the actual talc in the tin - almost like smoke. Blow a little of this into the inside of the screen side of the case, prior to re-assembly. Voila...no more bubbles. The alternative is to clean both screens exceptionally clean before re-assembly of the case. This is the method I prefer. In any case, the "bubbles" become all but invisible once the iphone screen lights up.

VERY quick delivery (ordered on a Sunday afternoon & was delivered on Tuesday morning).
Now for the case itself...it's fantastic; really offers complete protection to the iPhone. If you think the phone is worth approx £500 then £22ish for a case that COMPLETLEY protects the phone is a bargin. Yes you do experience some air bubbling / oil effect that others have commented on, from the inbuilt screen protector but persevere, if you get it right; no problems at all. Case has all the right holes where they should be & if they are not in use they can close to prevent anything getting in them. Fantastic case, fantastic seller...worth more than 5 stars!
