This unit had a constant buzzing when used as a radio, ( which I do not get from any other radios in the same location ), and the buzz only disapeared when playing back a recording.

Bought this for my hubby and he is very pleased with it. He can now enjoy the music stored on his ipod while doing the work around the house. Very good, worth every penny!

Needed a new iPod Alarm Clock/Radio for my son (no, I wasn't swapping him).
First thing I noticed was it's BIG, much bigger than I envisaged, which I put down to the subwoofer and twin speakers, however sound was only average.
1 - Noticed a resonant hum at low sound, about 3 or 4, on iPod, Radio and Aux setting, (ie. when going to sleep), which made it impossible to listen to quietly.
2 - If the unit was switched off and on again, it also had a default sound setting of 20, which compared to 'going to sleep' sound setting of 3 or 4 was loud enough to make you leap out of bed ready to defend your home against what must be hordes of musicians attacking your bedside table!!!!!
3 - Last gripe I have was inability to see the clock in the dark (apparently that's another default setting) as it didn't appear to have a backlight in sleep mode.
All in all a rather disappointing Clock/Radio with some obvious settings for such not really thought through.
On positive note, the firm who supplied it were very understanding and helpful and refunded me my money without quibble, well done.

I bought this August MB800 iPod & MP3 Music System to use in my kitchen, so I can listen to the music from my iPod and listen to FM radio.
One of main reasons selected this model was that it has got a subwoofer. I appreas that the subwoofer works ok although it is not easy to compare the quality between with and without the subwoofer.
The device can also play music from memory card and USB stick which are bonuses for me. I have not used the alarm function yet, it says the device has dual alarms and can offer four wakeup modes: buzzer, FM, MP3 or iPod.
The item has got no DAB which may be fair enough for the price I have paid for and it dose not worry me as FM offers much better quality than AM already.
Over all very good value for money, would definitely recommend if you are a music lover.
